Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised residential conveyancing secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of residential conveyancing to support one of our conveyancing solicitors.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the conveyancing process from initiation to completion, ensuring all legal documents are prepared accurately and efficiently.
- Help communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the transaction.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, including title searches and property investigations.
- Prepare and instruct searches, registration of titles and discharges.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Utilise audio typing skills to transcribe legal documents as required.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills by prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Provide administrative support as needed, ensuring that all processes run smoothly within the office.
Experience
- Proven administrative experience in a legal or property environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential for document preparation and communication.
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail are required for accurate documentation.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for liaising with clients and colleagues.
- IT proficiency is important for utilising various software applications relevant to conveyancing processes.
