Executive Assistant to the Associate Vice President (Education)
Salary from £36,513 to £41,565 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £44,468 pa inclusive of London allowance
Lifelong Learning at LSE is entering an ambitious new chapter. As the School sharpens its focus on executive education and online non-degree programmes, this newly established division is central to LSE’s vision to lead in innovative, flexible and high-impact learning for professionals and global learners. The Executive Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting this strategic transformation.
This role provides high-level executive support to the Associate Vice President (Education), ensuring the smooth coordination of their schedule, communications, and strategic priorities. The postholder will also contribute to the success of the Lifelong Learning division by supporting key projects, managing operations, and acting as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
It is essential that you have a professional approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service at all times is key. The role requires a broad range of office and administrative skills, including excellent IT proficiency - particularly in Microsoft Office - and the flexible ‘can-do’ attitude needed to meet the varied demands of the position. As a trusted point of contact, the postholder must exercise a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy, reliability, agility, efficiency, accuracy and organisation to effectively manage competing priorities. The successful candidate will be expected to have:
- Experience providing high-level executive or administrative support in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Experience managing diaries, coordinating meetings, and preparing briefing materials
- Experience organising events, travel, and logistics, including international arrangements
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to represent senior staff with confidence and professionalism.
The postholder will be expected to work on campus four days per week, with the option to work remotely one day per week.
