Your role:

We’re looking for a Water Quality Data Analysis Officer to support local bathing water quality improvements, working closely with our Bathing Water Planning Specialist. You’ll be part of the Yorkshire Area Integrated Environment Planning team, a primarily water-focused team with expertise in water quality, water resources, and river basin planning.

You’ll collaborate with area operational teams, national policy makers, and key stakeholders, particularly water companies, to help shape the environmental plans that guide Yorkshire’s priorities.

What will you do:

The role will focus on building automated processes and subsequent data analysis, that turns monitoring data into useable local scale assessment of the water quality at bathing water beaches in Yorkshire area. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your data management expertise and develop our approach to bathing water data management.

Depending on skills and experience there is also the opportunity to support planning specialists working with water companies on their statutory environmental improvement programme (Price Review). Therefore, knowledge and/or experience of some of the following would be an advantage:
