Reports To: Apprenticeship Programme Manager
Purpose of the Role:
To lead on employer engagement and apprenticeship recruitment for a small but growing training provider. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with employers, and securing high-quality apprenticeship placements across multiple sectors, including digital and IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively source and engage with local and regional employers to promote apprenticeships.
- Generate new leads and convert them into long-term employer partnerships.
- Explain apprenticeship funding, government incentives (such as the Apprenticeship Levy), and compliance requirements to employers.
- Work with the internal team to ensure a smooth learner placement and onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate employer contact records and pipeline data using our CRM system.
- Attend networking events, careers fairs, and industry expos to raise brand awareness and generate leads.
- Provide ongoing account management and post-placement support to employers.
- Meet and exceed agreed monthly and quarterly performance targets.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Proven experience in employer engagement, business development, or recruitment.
- Knowledge of the UK apprenticeship system and related funding models.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Competence in using CRM software and Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a training provider or FE college.
- Understanding of priority sectors such as Digital/IT
- Full UK driving license (desirable for occasional site visits).
