Location: Middlesbrough College Main Campus, TS2 1AD

Department: Business Engagement & Partnerships

Reporting to: Head Of Business Development

Salary: £31,613 - £33,695 per annum

Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus bank holidays

Contractual hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks

Basis: Full time/ Fixed Term for 12 months

Pension: NEST Pension


Join Our Team

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Employer Engagement Officer to join our Business Development team. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing relationships with employers to support the successful delivery of our Skills Bootcamps. This role is ideal for someone passionate about bridging the gap between education and employment, with a strong understanding of workforce development and employer needs.


What You’ll Be Doing:

As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will:

  • Work with the Head of Business Development within the Business Engagement & Partnerships Team.
  • Engage with employers to identify their recruitment and workforce development needs, supporting them with suitable recruitment solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) Strategic Development Plan, identifying key areas of focus relevant to Skills Bootcamps.
  • Ensure the CRM system is kept accurate and up to date with all employer interactions and activity.
  • Work collaboratively with the curriculum and delivery teams to support the development and delivery of Skills Bootcamp provision.

What We’re Looking For:

We seek candidates who:

  • Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).

  • A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.

  • Information, Advice and Guidance Level 2 - Desirable.

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
