Job Title: Employer Engagement and Placement Assessor
As an essential member of our team, you will work closely with course leads and Area Heads to drive the development and delivery of our FE Early Years course placements. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that students gain real-world experience and achieve practical competence, both within the college environment and through workplace placements.
About the Role:
- Assess students’ practical skills and competencies during their placements and college-based learning, providing constructive feedback that fuels their growth and success.
- Support the identification, recruitment, and onboarding of local employers who are enthusiastic about contributing to the Early Years Programme.
- Organise and coordinate work placement opportunities, acting as the primary point of contact for employers to ensure clear communication and mutual understanding of placement requirements and student expectations.
- Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with employers, helping to create meaningful and relevant placement experiences that enhance student learning and career readiness.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education to Level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent such as BA Educations Psychology, BA Early Years, BA Primary Education, EYPS etc
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience of delivering training and assessing in the workplace and educational setting.
- Extensive vocational experience in Early Years.
- Experience of dealing with customers and the public.
