£26,000 - £28,000 pa (Depending on experience level)
Hours:
39.5 Hours per week
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM - Monday to Thursday
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Friday
Job Start Date:
ASAP - MAX 2 to 4 weeks.

About the Role
We are seeking a practical and detail-oriented Electro-Mechanical Assembly & Test Operative to join our friendly production team.
You will be responsible for assembling and wiring electro-mechanical products, including carts, stands, cables, and battery-powered components. You’ll also support functional testing, fault identification, and occasional rework of parts or returned items.
This is a hands-on, full-time position that offers variety, stability, and training in a supportive work environment.
RequirementsEssential:
- Basic knowledge of electrical assembly and mechanical build processes
- Experience using hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, soldering iron)
- Soldering, wiring, and manual PCB component assembly skills
- Genuine interest in electronics and mechanical engineering
- Ability to follow instructions and read simple diagrams or work instructions
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- GCSE passes in English & MathematicsMinimum 3 years of electronics experience
Desirable:
- Confident IT skills, comfortable typing up reports
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
- Basic fault-finding skills
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with electro-mechanical assembly following engineering drawings, SOPs, and verbal instructions
- Wire, route and terminate cables using crimping, soldering and binding tools
- Inspect and test finished electronic products to ensure quality
- Survey and repair customer returns, preparing detailed written reports
- Maintain and create inspection and test documentation for new products
- Modify parts and assemblies to meet production requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives as directed
