Scope of responsibility
Effluent Plant
Perform the daily activities of the effluent and demineralisation plants requirements including and not limited to: -
Daily start up and shutdown of the effluent and demineralisation plants
Running of the filter press, draining of settlement tanks, monitoring of the ‘V’ notch tank, Reagent Make-up, Regeneration of the de-min plant and pumping out of bunds.
Aid in the monitoring of all environmental aspects including Waste, Energy and Waste
Aid in ensuring the company is compliant with all regulatory requirements including EPR (Environmental Permitting Regulations) and Discharge Consents.
Perform regular settlement tank sludge filter press checks
Ensuring Utilities meter readings (Water, Gas, Electricity and brook water) are carried out daily
Ensure all relevant treatment tanks are ‘topped up’ to ensure its smooth and compliant running
Control over any waste handling and disposal methods
Work with Operations personnel to exchange chemistry on processing as required.
Maintaining 5’s and keeping the effluent plant clean and tidy
Yard
Transport deliveries from goods inwards to stores
Transport Chemistry and IBCs to Goods inwards.
Delivery of ‘bus stop’ goods around the site.
Transfer IBC’s to the collection point as part of a waste collection
Carry out basic site maintenance, such as painting, pressure washing, basic grounds maintenance.
Responsibilities
Monitoring and reporting
Taking daily utilities meter readings
Assisting with store stock takes as required.
Carry of daily, Weekly and monthly standard work to include routine daily checks and cleaning of the production oiling bay and degreasing plant.
