At Dingley’s Promise Gloucester, we provide a welcoming and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We support their learning and development through play and help families with information, training, and guidance. We also work closely with mainstream settings to promote inclusive early years education.
About Us
Dingley’s Promise has been supporting children with SEND and their families since 1983. We operate five specialist early years centres across the UK. Our Gloucester sessions run from 9:15am to 2:45pm during term time, with staff working hours from 9:00am to 3:00pm. There are also opportunities to work up to nine playscheme days during school holidays.
Your Role as Early Years Practitioner
As part of our dedicated team, you’ll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the setting and deliver high-quality, inclusive care and education.
Key responsibilities:
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families and ensure all parents feel welcomed and supported.
- Act as a nurturing Key Person for a small group of children, using observation, planning, and assessment to meet their individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and team members to support each child holistically.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare.
- Experience or interest in SEND (not essential—training provided).
- A warm, patient, and inclusive approach to working with children.
