Poppies Child Care are seeking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner to join their team
This position is to work with children age 2-4 years during the term time only, covering a minimum of 30 hours per week Monday to Friday (hours during the school holiday periods are available as needed)
Poppies Child Care is a small, home from home nursery where the needs of children and families are central to the service provided. Applicants must share this vision and demonstrate fun and enthusiasm in all aspects of the role
Applicants must have:
*Minimum level 3 early years qualification (level 2 applicants with the relevant experience will be considered)
*Relevant experience working with children aged 2 to 4 years
*Commitment to high quality care, learning and development within the early years sector
Duties include:
* Observe and support children's learning and development following the EYFS Framework and maintaining accurate records
* Provide daily activities and experienced for children, following their interests and enhancing their learning ‘in the moment’
* Work in partnership with parents and carers, building positive relationships and sharing information regarding their child’s day at nursery
* Demonstrate good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion
* Support the continuous improvement and quality of childcare and education within the nursery
* Demonstrate good practice, knowledge and understanding regarding safeguarding practices and follow child protection procedures at all times
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene and ensure the nursery is clean and tidy at all times
* Be proactive in regards to continuous professional development and ensure core skills and training are kept up to date
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.40 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
