Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured support and key-working to a caseload of clients with complex needs related to substance misuse, mental health, and housing.
- Develop and implement individual support plans (ISPs) tailored to clients' recovery goals, regularly reviewing and updating them.
- Promote harm reduction, relapse prevention, and engagement with treatment services.
- Assist clients in developing life skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining tenancy conditions.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies including drug and alcohol services, mental health teams, probation, and housing providers.
- Provide crisis intervention and manage safeguarding concerns in line with organizational policies.
- Support service users to move on to more independent accommodation where appropriate.
- Ensure accommodation is safe, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes, risk assessments, and reports using designated systems.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including high-level substance misuse.
- Knowledge of harm reduction, recovery models, and the impacts of substance dependency.
- Ability to manage challenging behavior and de-escalate conflict.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- IT literate and able to maintain accurate records.
Desirable Criteria:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care, Substance Misuse, Mental Health).
- Lived experience of recovery or peer support (where appropriate).
- Driving license and access to a vehicle.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
