Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in commercial driving, with a focus on delivering goods safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate various driving conditions. You will be responsible for transporting products using flatbed or van vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. you WILL be required to work weekends.
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed or van vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload products safely, ensuring proper handling of materials and goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with flatbed or van driving experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
