Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods , as well as excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with operational team and customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Deliver goods to various locations efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working order.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's licence.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with flatbed vehicles is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
