Job Title: Driver
Reports to: Operations Manager - Laser
Location: Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6NS
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Purpose of Role
The Driver will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection and delivery of materials and finished products for our laser operation. The role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
The duties will include, but are not limited to:
· Carrying out multi-drop collections and deliveries in line with customer and company requirements.
· Safely loading, unloading, and securing vehicles to prevent damage or accidents.
· Accurately reading, checking, and managing delivery and collection paperwork.
· Collaborating effectively with colleagues, clients, and management to support smooth operations.
· Maximising output and minimising errors, while prioritising safety and quality at all times.
· Actively contributing to daily transport and operations planning, including liaising with factory personnel.
· Conducting daily vehicle checks, ensuring compliance with all road traffic and legal requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
· Previous experience in a professional Driving role.
· Knowledge of vehicle checks and basic maintenance responsibilities.
· Strong understanding of health & safety in a logistics/manufacturing environment.
· Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues, clients, and management.
· Ability to read and interpret delivery paperwork accurately.
· A reliable, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
Qualifications
Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
