Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in their homes or care settings. This role involves supporting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing, and promoting independence. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients in following their care plans and maintaining their health and wellbeing
- Provide companionship and emotional support, creating a positive and trusting environment
- Help with meal preparation and ensure clients receive adequate nutrition
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, ensuring client safety at all times
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team
- Drive clients to appointments or social engagements when needed
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the client’s living space
- Carry out specialist care, including tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, and stoma care, in line with individual care plans and training
Skills & Requirements
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Experience in home care or residential care settings is desirable but not essential
- Ability to understand and implement person-centred care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and families
- Basic IT skills to maintain records and communicate with the team
- A valid driving licence is preferred
- Mandatory training in tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, and stoma care is required for this role
