Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and promoting independence.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in following their care plans and maintaining their health and wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Document daily activities and observations accurately using IT systems as necessary.
Skills
- Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Familiarity with care plans to ensure personalised care is delivered appropriately.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when needed.
- Experience in home care or care home settings is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
