Job Summary
Strong Life Care are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant to join our team at The Beeches Care Home, under new Management. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, particularly within commercial settings and hospitals. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Previous experience with Infection prevention and control is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided,
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, waiting rooms, and Resident areas within the Care Home.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised and free from dust, dirt, and debris.
- Manage waste disposal by following proper protocols for hazardous materials when necessary.
- Assist with the organisation of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure they are readily available for use.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently met.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or within a Care Home / Hospital / Social Care environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with cleaning products and techniques used in professional settings is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and patients.
