Dog Walker/Pet Sitter

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker & Sitter to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs in our community. As a Dog Walker/Sitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the dogs while delivering a positive experience for their owners. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple dogs at once.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, within our enclosed field. Ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialisation.
• Monitor the behaviour and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner.
• Provide in-home pet sitting services, including feeding and companionship.
• Maintain a safe environment for dogs by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Provide basic care such as feeding, administering medication, or cleaning up after the dogs as required when on an overnight sit.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behaviour and needs.
• Build strong relationships with both dogs and their owners to foster trust and reliability.

Skills/Requirements

• Experience in animal care or veterinary settings is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with pet owners.
• Knowledge of dog behaviour and training techniques is an advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple clients and schedules effectively.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
• Full UK Driving License is required.
• Availability for overnight dog sitting is essential.

Expected hours: 10 – 12.5 per week

• Monday to Friday
