We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer In a busy raw dog food shop . As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry clients while providing exceptional grooming services. Your expertise will help maintain the hygiene and appearance of pets, contributing to their overall happiness and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling fur according to breed standards and client preferences.
- Conduct thorough examinations of pets to identify any health issues or skin conditions that may require attention.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and grooming requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised after use.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Assist in educating pet owners on proper care techniques, including brushing, bathing, and nail trimming at home.
- Manage scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records of services provided.
Experience
- Must have experience of grooming to a high standard !
- A background in veterinary care or animal care is advantageous, enhancing your ability to recognise health issues.
- Strong customer service skills are essential for building rapport with pet owners and ensuring a positive experience.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment is required.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is crucial for success in this role.
- Must be a confident groomer and confident dealing with customers
- Must have experience in dog grooming
