Key Purpose of Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Director of Infrastructure Valuations to lead and manage the valuation of a diversified portfolio of global infrastructure assets, with a geographic focus on the Global South. This role sits at the intersection of finance, portfolio management and investment and requires deep sector expertise, technical proficiency in valuation methodologies, and strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive)
Valuation Oversight & Execution
- Lead the valuation process for infrastructure assets, including infrastructure, energy, and real estate.
- Direct and oversee valuation advisors used to execute quarterly valuations, including oversight of internal valuation team members based in India.
- Ensure valuations align with US GAAP and UK GAAP, as well as internal and external audit standards.
- Present valuation findings and recommendations to the firm’s valuation committees.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams (investment, finance, accounting) and external auditors and valuation advisors.
- Collaborate with investment and finance teams to collect data and validate valuation assumptions.
- Liaise with deal teams to understand transaction context, market dynamics, and value drivers.
- Train deal teams to become more aware of US GAAP requirements in respect of valuations.
Strategic Leadership
- Provide strategic input into valuation policy, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Monitor macroeconomic, regulatory, and sector-specific developments impacting asset valuation.

Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field; MBA, CFA, ACA or equivalent preferred.
- Extensive experience in infrastructure valuations at an investment bank, private equity or a Big Four+ advisory firm.
- Keen learner and excited about new processes/change.
- Can demonstrate good communication and presentation skills, but keen to develop this further.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure asset classes and associated risk-return profiles.
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly in Excel) and advanced modelling and valuation techniques.
