Position:
As a Digital Trading Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital “shop window” by ensuring product data integrity, optimising site merchandising, analysing performance, and keeping a close eye on market trends and competitors. You will also coordinate own-brand product photography to maintain consistently compelling visual content. Your efforts directly influence conversion rates, average order values and overall customer satisfaction across both digital and physical channels.
1.Website Product and Catalogue Management
oManage and optimise the online product catalogue, ensuring accurate, SEO-friendly product descriptions, names, and associated assets (images and specifications).
oMaintain and audit product metadata to guarantee a Product Catalogue Accuracy Rate of 99 %.
oCollaborate and liaise with buying and merchandising teams to support launches, promotions, and sale activities, ensuring premium execution.
2. Website Merchandising and Category Management
oReview and update “new in”, “best seller” and “our favourites” product carousels on homepage, category and brand landing pages.
oOptimise category pages by defining sort orders, filters and merchandising automation conditions to achieve 99 % Category and Listings Optimisation.
oCollaborate with Marketing and Design to implement seasonal and campaign-specific merchandising plans.
oMaintain and audit website metadata, FAQ, product and category descriptions to improve SEO outcomes
3. Performance Analysis and Reporting
oMonitor weekly and monthly website metrics (conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value).
oProduce and deliver weekly and monthly website performance reports with actionable insights to improve customer engagement and conversion rates.
oRecommend data-driven actions to improve site KPIs, highlight trends and escalate critical issues promptly.
oMonitor and share product variance between ERP and Website at least once per month.
2. Market and Competitor Analysis
oMonitor and share competitor insights to inform pricing and promotional strategy.
oMaintain a repository of competitor activity and benchmark our performance accordingly.
3. Own-brand Product Photography Management
oCoordinate photoshoots for own-brand ranges, ensuring images meet brand guidelines (style, resolution, format).
oLiaise with external photographers and in-house studios to schedule, brief and review imagery.
oOversee post-production handover and upload of optimised images for web, mobile and in-store graphics.
Requirements:
Essential Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years’ experience in an e-commerce, digital trading or merchandising role.
- Proficient with e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Magento) and ERP inventory systems.
- Strong numerical aptitude and experience in Excel (or equivalent) for data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, with proven ability to maintain data accuracy at scale.
- Solid understanding of online merchandising principles and customer journey optimisation.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate across buying, marketing, design and store teams.

Internal: E-commerce Manager, Digital Designer, Marketing Manager, Store Operations, Buying, Customer Service, and IT.
External: Photography studios, creative agencies, third-party data/monitoring providers.
