Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and results-driven Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team and support our Digital Marketing with AI instructor. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting teaching, and/or marketing. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen analytical mindset, and strong administrative capabilities.
An outline of the role is as follows:
Course Delivery
- Mark assignments in line with agreed deadlines, and within the system agreed with the instructor.
- Assist with updating course materials as directed by your line manager, in line with the internal approval process.
- Update progression trackers and inform the course instructor of student progress and elements to review.
- Assist with the regular and effective monitoring, recording, assessment and reporting of students’ progress and achievements.
- Assist the instructor with the review of new students and create attendance registers.
- With support deliver occasional lessons in line with the prescribed curriculum.
- Run introductions to coding bootcamp taster sessions as necessary.
- Assist the instructor in reviewing additional needs form for new cohorts, adding them to the tracker and assist in ensuring a plan is in place to meet additional needs
- Assist the instructor in monitoring the effectiveness of additional needs support and update plan/tracker monthly
- Adhere to ongoing good teaching practice and pastoral care in line with developments in legislation and government guidance.
- Support students on certain areas for improvement through break out sessions, one-to-one sessions or highlighting gaps in knowledge to the instructor.
Student Success
- Ensure the regular and effective monitoring, recording, assessment and reporting of students’ progress and achievements, alongside fellow teaching staff
- Be actively involved in ensuring a minimum of 85% of students on our cohorts achieve positive post-course outcomes, as per milestone 3. (Full training will be provided to achieve milestone outcomes.)
Community Engagement
- Build relationships with other organisations, encouraging students to join you and gain the confidence to be part of the local business community
- Promote Tech Educator courses and take responsibility for representing the company in a true and fair way.
- Represent Tech Educators with external stakeholders as required.
Qualifications
- We welcome applications from individuals with any education and training background.
- Experience of a government funded skills bootcamp is beneficial but not required.
