This vacancy for a Diagnostic Sales Developer is an exciting opportunity to further support our franchisees and customers with our Scantools and associated technical products as we travel along our customer success programme. The role would very much suit a high-level technician who wishes to remain within the industry, supporting technicians and workshops with the resources of a global brand-leader behind them.
Our vacancy is to cover Sussex and you will be expected to travel widely in this region as part of this role. You'll be homebased and provided with a company vehicle to travel to our customers.
You'll possess a strong knowledge of vehicle technology including the usage of diagnostic products, whether OEM or aftermarket.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Performing business evaluation/coaching rides with Franchisees 3 days per week
- Teaching of product and sales skills to Franchisees
- Securing orders for additional Diagnostics products
- Demonstrating products to customers
- Promoting the full range of hand-held Snap on Diagnostics equipment through our Franchisee network
- Direct sales of Diagnostics products to customers through Franchisees
- Attending Franchisee Performance Team meetings to present promotions
- Presenting new product launches and software releases
- Presenting at new-Franchisee training meetings and Franchisee Store Management Training courses
- Staffing and supporting trade-shows as required
- Attending sales meetings as required
- Meeting monthly and yearly agreed targets
- Dealing with customer issues in a professional manner that keeps the customer happy
- Keeping up to date with automotive and computer technology by reading or attending applicable courses or seminars
Technical Skills Requirement
- Experience of the automotive industry and solid understanding of automotive repair business as it relates to ROI and marketing of repair services.
- Excellent PC skills with a flair for technology
- High level of vehicle systems knowledge
- Comfortable communicating with every level of business management
Experience Requirements
- You'll be used to, and comfortable with, coaching people with new equipment
- You'll have great attention to detail and be driven by results
- You'll be a team-player who is equally happy working alone
- Proven territory management
