Duties
- Prepare a variety of desserts, and other sweet treats, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Assist in the overall food preparation process, collaborating with the kitchen team to meet customer demands.
- Uphold food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen at all times.
- Engage with customers to upsell dessert items, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely production of desserts during peak service hours.
- Perform basic maths calculations for ingredient measurements and portioning as required.
- Stay updated on culinary trends to incorporate new ideas into dessert offerings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in dessert preparation or baking.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurement and portion control.
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and creativity in dessert making.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.

Pay: £7.55-£12.55 per hour
