Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design.
- Experience synthesizing emerging trends into key insights.
- Experience with design tools like Figma and visualizing thinking through sketches, storyboards, interaction models, and other means.
- Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience communicating and collaborating with different disciplines and executive stakeholders.
- Experience in future-focused, R&D roles or in trend forecasting.
- Research experience, including but not limited to ethnographic research, market research, and trend analysis.
- Experience crafting compelling narratives that show creative and strategic thinking.
- Hardware experience, working with Industrial Design, developing new categories, and understanding the unique challenges of physical products.
- Ability to take and give creative direction in a range of disciplines.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Identify and research emerging trends in design, technology, and culture to anticipate future opportunities and challenges for hardware.
- Collaborate closely with Interaction, Visual, and Industrial Designers on forward-thinking design concepts, from ideation to strategic roadmapping.
- Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate ideas and build consensus.
- Bring abstract ideas to life through a range of creative deliverables.
- Develop impactful narratives and make clear, persuasive presentations that influence collaborators and stakeholders.
