3 Month FTC
£24,800 - £27,500
Are you an enthusiastic, creative and detail-focused team player, with a passion for great design and communications? If so, look no further than this exciting opportunity at Cora Health.
Connect Health and Healthshare have come together as one organisation - Cora Health - combining our decades of experience in providing healthcare services on behalf of the NHS
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Design & Communications Assistant to hit the ground running in this fixed-term role. You will take on a broad range of responsibilities, helping to effectively showcase the Cora brand and communicate with a range of audiences.
As part of the wider Communications and Engagement team, you will play a key role in ensuring Cora is:
- A great place to work for our colleagues
- A provider of efficient, high-quality care for our patients
- A valued service provider for our commissioners and system partners.
What will you be doing?
By creating high quality designs, supporting team projects and developing marketing materials, this is a role where you can expect plenty of variety and opportunity to develop new skills.
Some of the things you can expect to be doing include:
- Assisting in the creation and distribution of content for a range of communication channels (including editing, designing, and scheduling content, as well as some occasional copywriting)
- Overseeing the fulfilment of print, merchandise, and other marketing collateral orders
- Leading on the production of multimedia assets including photography, design assets and video, using a creative approach
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive working relationships and supporting the achievement of Cora’s strategic objectives
- Managing Connect Health’s website content, regularly reviewing content and managing our relationship with developers
- Supporting the planning, management, and on-site delivery of events and activities
- Acting as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistent messaging and adherence to brand guidelines across all communication channels
- Supporting Flippin’ Pain (flippinpain.co.uk) and other campaigns/initiatives associated with Cora.
What you will bring to the role.
You’ll bring a ‘can do’ attitude and embrace frequent changes in the pace and nature of work, occasionally working under pressure and prioritising where required to meet deadlines.
Above all else you will be a self-motivated ‘people person’, passionate about contributing to our mission of reimagining healthcare for people to thrive.
You will ideally:
- Have experience of working in a similar role (even if that’s as a volunteer)
- Have experience in design, photography and content creation
- Have experience of creating content that successfully engages a target audience
- Be able to demonstrate ability to work as part of a team, successfully delivering stakeholder projects
- Have demonstrably strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Be competent in using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Forms
- Have experience of managing digital channels (e.g. websites, social media, intranet platforms)
- Understand the principles of inclusive communication.
And even better if you have…
- Previously worked within healthcare, public health, or charity sector
- Experience of organising and delivering successful events
- Proficiency with web design
- Achieved a university degree or equivalent
- A full UK drivers’ licence
- Undertaken training or completed qualifications related to communications and/or marketing
- Previously been involved in Patient & Public Involvement (PPI) or similar
- Proficiency with other Adobe tools, such as InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
