Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist or Therapist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care. As a Therapist you will have the additional roles of simple restorations, impressions, extraction of deciduous teeth etc
Duties
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
- Perform medical imaging procedures to capture accurate images of patients' teeth and gums.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments performed.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of anatomy to effectively identify potential issues within the oral cavity.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist / Therapist licence or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with General Dental Council.
- Possess appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
- Proficient in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and oral health principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for maintaining patient records accurately.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
