Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard and ensuring that all operations run smoothly. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a willingness to assist in various tasks as needed. A background in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard area.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from vehicles.
- Operate yard equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
- Drive delivery vehicles as necessary, including vans or lorries, to transport materials.
- Support warehouse activities, including inventory management and stock rotation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members.
- Valid driver's licence; experience as a delivery driver or van driver is a plus.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Pay: £24,600.00-£380,000.00 per year
