Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively while adhering to safety regulations.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transit.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes that may arise.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
- A valid driving licence with a clean driving record is essential; experience driving a Ford Transit vehicle is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is preferred.
- Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial, as it aids in understanding logistics operations.
