Ruby Dance Studios
We are hiring a dance teaching assistant! Pay will depend on age and experience. Would suit a student (from age 16 upwards) well. This job will give you valuable experience in dance, education and working with children.
Tuesdays in school term time at Bramham Village Hall from 4:00-6:30pm.
Job role includes:
- Helping to set up and close down our studio space
- Welcoming, supporting and encouraging the children, especially nervous/shy children who may need more one to one attention
- Helping children with technique or where to stand/sit.
- Monitoring toilet trips for the younger children
- Demonstrating dance steps with high energy and enthusiasm
- Helping to take photos on the work phone for social media
We can organise a DBS check for you if you don't have a certificate already. You will be assisting with children aged 4-8 years old if successful. We are looking for someone who loves working with children, is reliable and has a passion for Commercial, Musical Theatre and/or Acrobatic Dance.
Our dance school also run workshops, a yearly show and exam session, so there is a chance for more hours if you would like them.
It would be a bonus if you would be available for occasional Saturday morning cover assisting.
It would also be wonderful if you are able to demonstrate some basic Acrobatic Dance skills, but this is not essential.
If you are great with social media, we can discuss some additional social media work if you would like it (no need to do this however if it is not something you would be interested in).
To apply, please send a cover letter, detailing why you would like to be considered for this role and a CV with any relevant experience and dance styles you have studied or dance exams taken.
To start on the 2nd of September. We are a friendly and supportive school and we look forward to having a new team member on board.
