Location: Springwood Leisure Centre
We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Assistant
For this role you would ideally:
- Customer focused, friendly and approachable
- Able to work as part of a team
- Have the ability to work on your own initiative
- Able to work under pressure
- Flexible in your approach to work
Able to set up and take down various pieces of sports equipment and be physically fit and able
The Opportunity
In the role of Customer Service Assistant , here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
- As first point of contact for the Leisure Centre provide a friendly, responsive and professional service to all customers and visitors, presenting a positive impression of themselves and the organisation. Be willing to engage with members of the public and build relationships with the customer base.
- Promote the sale of memberships and assist in the processing of associated paperwork, assist in entering the details onto the computer and ensuring the correct fees are collected
- Provide a high standard of service when dealing with general customers, colleagues and visitors to the leisure centre, either face-to-face, on the telephone or via email to ensure they receive a positive and enjoyable experience by.
- As required assist with the general operation of the leisure centre by assisting in the receipt of stock, reconciling deliveries against order and identifying any discrepancies.
- Ensure that safe methods of working are always adhered to

About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have...
Experience of working in a sales focused environment and achieving sales targets
Experience of working with a diverse range of customers
Good customer care skills in dealing with the public
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Organisational skills to plan work allocated such as ensuring facility activities changes are undertaken in a timely manner
Experience of organising information and paperwork
Computer literate, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience of working in a successful team
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Good understanding of health and safety legislation
Experience of working in large teams (15 + staff)
Experience of moving and setting up equipment
