The Heberden Coin Room
The Heberden Coin Room is a department of the Ashmolean Museum, in the University of Oxford. With c. 300,000 coins of all periods and all countries and collections of medals, tokens, and paper money, it represents one of the leading international coin cabinets (see: https://www.ashmolean.org/heberden-coin-room).
About the role
You will support the Deputy Keeper of the Heberden Coin Room in looking after the c. 50,000 Greek and Roman Provincial coins in the Ashmolean Museum’s collection. Supported by experienced museum staff and working in a talented team, you will acquire the key skills of modern curatorship.

About you

You have museum experience and are aware of issues surrounding collections care, conservation, and security.
You have excellent general IT skills and know how to document coins using a numismatic database.
