Phoenix Pet Cremations is growing and seeking a dedicated, reliable, and compassionate individual to join our team. We offer bespoke pet cremation services and take great pride in providing a professional, empathetic, and supportive experience for our clients during emotionally difficult times.
Position Overview
You will be a key representative of our service, collecting and transporting beloved pets with care and respect. The role is self-employed and includes a structured service level agreement (SLA) to ensure consistency and professionalism.
Shift Pattern
- Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off (rotating pattern)
- Shifts:
- Early: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- Late: 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM
- Availability to work any day, Monday to Sunday
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport pets from homes and veterinary practices to our cremation facilities
- Operate within a 90-mile radius of London
- Use our bespoke software to manage collections, view schedules, and navigate routes
- Provide compassionate, respectful customer service at all times
- Recognize and adapt to emotional cues from grieving pet owners
- Complete paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and equipment
- Follow traffic laws and route schedules
- Support team by covering additional shifts during holidays and peak times
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving license
- Excellent interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills
- High levels of compassion, empathy, and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedure
- Comfortable using bespoke systems (training provided)
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently
- Previous experience in a similar role (driving or customer-facing) is a plus, but not required
- Flexibility to take on overtime when needed
