Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely payments from clients, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software, as well as excellent communication abilities to effectively liaise with clients regarding their accounts.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage outstanding debts to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Conduct regular credit checks on clients to assess their creditworthiness.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications with clients regarding their accounts.
- Process invoices and ensure they are sent out promptly.
- Handle sales ledger tasks as required, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Utilise accounting software to track payments and generate reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service through effective phone etiquette when communicating with clients.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes related to credit control and debt collection.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role is preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using accounting software for managing financial records.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
