Overview:
- ••• West Midlands Safari Park are sourcing applicants for the role of Course Coordinator to join our Education team.
The Course-Co-Ordinator will ensure the efficient planning, organisation, communication and delivery of the courses, including liaising with students, tutors and college examination staff.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leading the co-ordination and delivery of educational accredited courses, ensuring all content, delivery and assessments are in line with the guidelines set by external educational establishment and/or awarding bodies.
- Creating timetables for teaching that fit with both required teaching commitments and staffing budgets throughout the year, ensuring all required resources are allocated as part of the process.
- Creating all content and planners required for the successful delivery of each accredited course.
- Co-ordinating the allocation of teaching staff on a daily basis, ensuring tasks are communicated efficiently and all deadline are met.
- Evaluation of onsite accredited course content and its delivery, ensuring continuous improvements are pro-actively made to enhance the learning experience.
- Responsible for ensuring all teaching staff are appropriately trained and developed in line with all educational accredited course elements.
- Deliver onsite accredited courses, ensuring content is inline with student needs and appropriate schemes of work, and lesson plans are created for each session.
- Assessment of accredited courses, ensuring marking standards are in line with external educational establishment and awarding body guidelines.
- Minimum degree level qualification in Animal Care, Animal Management, Zoology, Conservation or related subject is essential
- Teaching, presenter or educator experience is essential, alongside a formal teaching qualification
- Assessor qualification
- Previous experience working in an education setting in a Course Co-ordinator role or similar is desirable

West Midlands Safari Park is and award-winning visitor attraction, located in Worcestershire in the heart of England.
