Role Overview
As a Couples Therapist, you will work with clients to enhance communication, address challenges, and strengthen relationships. Using evidence-based techniques, you will provide a safe space for couples to explore their concerns and develop strategies for lasting change.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct therapy sessions with couples to address relationship issues.
- Assess client needs and develop personalised working plans
- Utilise therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, Gestalt therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and other relevant approaches.
- Guide couples in improving communication, conflict resolution, and emotional connection.
- Maintain accurate records and confidentiality in accordance with ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
- Certified to practice therapy
- Experience in couples therapy or relationship counselling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
