Here at Chessington World of Adventures our 2025 season is in full swing, and we are recruiting for a Costume Assistant to join the team where you can immerse yourself in a whole world of Entertainment!
The resort runs throughout the year, and we are looking for a candidate who can support us with maintaining and creating costumes for our Howl’o’ween and Winters Tail events, as well as cleaning/ maintaining our variety of costume characters, from Gruffalo to Paw patrol pup favourites. We guarantee there will always be something you can sink your teeth into!
The role will involve a variety of different jobs depending on the needs of the da, including the following:
- Supporting the Costume Supervisor in sewing and making costumes.
- General administration and stock taking of costumes
- Organising and preparing costumes for new events.
- Laundry and basic cleaning
- Maintenance / repair of Costumes and Skin Characters.
Unsociable hours, evening and weekend work may be required.
Our ideal candidate will be organised, passionate, quick thinking and have a keen eye for detail. You should have strong sewing skills with some previous training preferred. We would like you to have excellent communication skills, combined with a positive and friendly nature to successfully support not only the live entertainment attractions and events but the whole resort daily.
