Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic cooks/kitchen assistants to join our friendly team. We are offering flexible hours, from 10 to 40 hours per week helping to provide the high quality, home cooked, traditional pub food we serve in our warm and inviting village inn. We are at the centre of the community, serving locals as well as visitors to this beautiful, unspoilt area of England, and we have an excellent reputation for serving freshly cooked, locally sourced and seasonal food.
The ideal applicant/s will be keen to learn and share responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day preparation of food and menus. You would be joining our small, friendly team who are very proud to be doing what we are doing. Your duties would include ordering, preparing and cooking food, and related tasks as required. We welcome ideas from all our team, so you should also have a positive attitude and good communication skills and ideally have a knowledge and understanding of food hygiene procedures. We serve food from 12 noon every day, and have special nights occasionally, i.e. pizza night, so this position includes evenings and weekend hours, but no very late nights!
