Control Subject Matter Expert: Be the expert behind the evolution of rail operations.
Our Operational Readiness team is looking for an innovative and detail-oriented Subject Matter Expert (SME) to play a key role in delivering cutting-edge technology across the West Coast Mainline and HS2 operations. This exciting opportunity is offered as a 21-month FTC (secondment if internal)
What you’ll be doing:
- As a key player in the team, you’ll:
- Use your expertise in Control to develop use cases and test scripts.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
- Validate system designs and outputs and lead scenario testing in real-world environments.
- Design and deliver training packages to ensure seamless adoption of new systems.
- Provide ongoing support during rollout and provide subject matter input as required, to enable project management activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Expert Knowledge: Intricate understanding of AWC Control processes essential to operational delivery.
- Training & Change Experience: Background in delivering training or coaching, exposure to implementing technological change is desirable.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and solve operational “pain points” creatively.
- Methodical Approach: Comfortable working diligently and consistently, even with repetitive tasks.
