The SHS at SFHT and NUH are comprehensive sexual health services and a wide range of contraception care is provided, including the management of complex contraception care, insertion and removal of intrauterine contraception devices/systems, sub-dermal implant procedures and injectable contraception. The service also provides genitourinary medicine (GUM) services for sexually transmitted infection (STI) care, genital infections/conditions, and HIV outpatient care.
We are looking for a motivated and committed person with experience in sexual health and HIV treatment and care, and an interest in HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), to be part of our friendly and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team and complement our existing team who provide GUM, SRH and HIV outpatient services.
The main duties at SFHT are to provide outpatient sexual health services for contraception provision and STI/genital infections/conditions treatment and care.
The main duties at NUH are to provide outpatient HIV treatment and care services, and HIV PrEP services, including complex care and PrEP leadership.
You will be expected to work within national guidelines and standard operating procedures within the service.
Duties will also include teaching and training of other clinicians, such as resident doctors, medical students and nurses, as well as other healthcare professionals.
Active involvement in departmental and Trust audit/clinical governance is expected in collaboration with other staff in the department.
