Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent organisational skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring they are secured during transit.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and receipts.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Uphold company policies and procedures while on the road, including adherence to traffic laws.
Skills
- Valid driving licence
- Strong time management skills to ensure prompt deliveries.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems effectively.
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of goods.
- Attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
The role is Monday to Friday, 11am until 7pm, with some Saturday's required as overtime.
