We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service will ensure that every guest has a memorable and lasting experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, ensuring all areas are tidy and well-presented.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
- Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment.
Requirements
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
- Understanding of food safety practices and ability to adhere to hygiene standards.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Essential
- Barista experience in a high volume coffee bar
