Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Coach Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while ensuring a high standard of customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate various types of Coaches.
Duties
- Safely drive and operate Coaches.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with passengers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the vehicle, particularly those with disabilities or special needs.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, including mileage and passenger counts.
- Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for coach operation.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends if necessary.
- A good understanding of local routes and traffic patterns is an asset.
