Job Summary
The inspection using both manual and automated equipment of machined parts to certify machined
product to required tolerances/specifications
Key Objectives of the Role
- H&S – Work in a safe and responsible manner. (For own and other people’s safety).
- Conduct any pre-shift H&S checks as specified; for example: FLT, Hoist Crane.
- Maintain high standard of workplace housekeeping; e.g. (5s duties).
- Competent in inspection and interpreting complex drawings.
- Competent with manual measuring equipment.
- Ensure ALL Quality procedures and processes are followed.
- Operation of manual and automatic Co-ordinate Machining.
- Working alone at times, however also as part of an Machining/Inspection team on a multi shift basis.
- Working alongside the Machine Shop Personnel at times moving product between areas.
- To assist with scrap segregation in line with the agreed procedures.

- Competent in inspection and interpreting complex drawings.
- Competent with manual measuring equipment.
- Competent in the operation of manual and automated CMM with at least 1 years’ experience.
- CMM Programming experience.
- FAIR Experience (First Article Inspection Report).
- Forging/Manufacturing industry experience.
- Overhead Crane Training.
- FLT Training.
- IOSH Working Safely or relevant health and safety knowledge/experience.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
