Overview
168 Security Limited is recruiting a professional and highly discreet Close Protection Operative (CPO) / Driver to join a private security detail based in Fulham, London. The successful applicant will provide personal protection and secure chauffeuring services to a high-net-worth individual and their family.
This is a full-time, long-term role requiring flexibility, vigilance, and the highest standards of personal conduct. The role involves both static and mobile duties, with a focus on risk awareness, client safety, and secure transport across London and occasionally beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide close personal protection in accordance with SIA standards
- Conduct safe and secure driving duties, primarily in Central and West London
- Perform advance route planning and dynamic risk assessments
- Maintain security presence in a low-profile, non-invasive manner
- Carry out vehicle checks and maintain vehicles to executive standards
- Collaborate with client’s household staff and/or wider security team
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professional integrity at all times
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Close Protection Licence- Strong knowledge of London’s road network- Experience in residential or corporate close protection
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Physically fit, mentally alert, and adaptable to changing situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-facing attitude
- Full UK Driving Licence (clean preferred)
Desirable
- Advanced driving certification (RoSPA, IAM, evasive driving courses)
- Valid First Aid at Work or FPOSi certification
- Background in military, police, or government protection roles
- Prior experience working with high-profile or high-net-worth clients
