This is a permanent, full time position.


The shift pattern for this position is Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within an Older People’s Community Mental Health for a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker. The Band 3 will assist patients with an organic or functioning illness who have been referred to the mental health team. The Band 3 will have their own caseload where they will visit patients and report any changes in regards to their psychological needs to the nursing and medical team.

The Band 3 will be given delegated task from a mental health nurse in regards to the patient and will assist with patients who are exhibiting stress and distress. It is integral that the Band 3 is an excellent communicator who will communicate with families, patients, and the team.

The Band 3 will be tasked with monitoring cognitive enhancers and completing physical health checks for patients who are on anti-psychotic medication.

This successful applicant will have exciting opportunities for developing their skills such as venepuncture, SPIRIT training and the like. The successful applicant will have previous experience in a caring environment, preferably in a health care setting in mental health. A current driving license is required for the post.
