Part Time Cleaner
Job Description
A vibrant café in Folkestone is looking for a cleaner to provide a cleaning service in the evenings after 7pm when the cafe is closed. We are a busy café and so main café area, kitchen, adjoining hallways and toilets need cleaning every day.
- Hours 5.25 per week Wednesday-Fri each week
- Additional cover hours available
- Starting at £12.70/hr
We are looking for a person who has excellent attention to detail and who is able to work under their own supervision to a high standard. Ideally you will have key holder and other cleaning experience and will hold a recent DBS certificate or be willing to undertake one.
Key responsibilities include:
- To provide a cleaning service in a busy cafe including main café area, kitchen, adjoining hallways and toilet.
- To vacuum and mop all floors.
- To empty all toilet bins and replace bin bags.
- To vacuum and mop the floors of all toilets and to clean toilets using appropriate cleaning materials (bleach, etc.)
- To replenish toilet rolls and soap in all toilets as required.
- To remove any cobwebs from walls and ceiling corners.
- To ensure all kitchen surfaces are cleaned and disinfected.
- To ensure all table surfaces are clean and that windowsills, chairs and soft furnishings are wiped down.
- To inform the manager when stocks of cleaning materials are running low.
- To undergo training necessary in relation to the requirements of the post.
- To undertake any other duties consistent with the overall purpose of the post within the competence of the post holder.
