Job Overview:
Applicant must live in Plymouth (Devon, UK) permanently and be available during school holiday periods, summer holidays (planned absences in the year are fine with advance notice given). Please do not apply if you do not plan to be in Plymouth for a long time.
We are looking for candidate to start ASAP.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Cleaner to join our team at Invicta Hotel, a well-established, independent boutique hotel, located by the beautiful seaside and in Plymouth’s city centre. We are a family-run guest accommodation 5 minutes' drive from the ferry terminal. It offers on-site parking and free WiFi.
You need to be friendly, positive and able to thrive under pressure to deliver high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our hotel. Ideally you will be someone comfortable multi-tasking their way through a busy shift, paying attention to detail while maintaining efficiency.
Responsibilities (not exhaustive list):
- Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, bathrooms and common areas
- Making beds and changing linens
- Restocking room supplies (toiletries, coffee, tea etc.)
- Vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture and fixtures
- Cleaning mirrors, windows and other glass surfaces
- Emptying trash and recycling bins
- Reporting maintenance issues to supervisors
- Responding to guest requests for additional supplies or cleaning services
- Ensuring proper storage and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Maintaining cleaning equipment in good working condition
- Adhering to health, safety and hygiene standards
Skills / Experience:
- Previous cleaning experience (hotel experience preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and products
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical stamina to complete cleaning tasks throughout a shift
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills
- Basic English communication skills
- Flexible approach to working hours
