Domestic cleaner wanted to join a happy team in a friendly Nursing Home in Fareham.
BASIC DUTIES: Under general direction, clean all areas on the Nursing Home by performing routine cleaning of residents’ rooms, nurses’ stations, offices, lounges, reception, corridors, and communal bathrooms. Demonstrate ability to utilise the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Cleaning all bedroom facilities including disinfecting all surfaces, cleaning bed rails, dusting, and hoovering.
- Making sure the corridors are clean of rubbish and dust. Disinfect all handles and handrails.
- Empty the rubbish bins, making sure all areas are rubbish free.
- Cleaning all communal toilets, and residents’ bathrooms; seats, inside toilet pan, floors, basins, and empty bins.
- Cleaning of the sluice room daily.
- General cosmetic attention such as removing dead flowers, decluttering etc.
- Any other duties in keeping with the general domestic role.
- Ensure confidentiality of the residents and the home are maintained.
- Participate in all training that is a requirement of the commission for Social Care Inspectors (CQC).
- To ensure correct use of equipment and cleaning products, in line with COSHH.
