The Supply Specialists are currently recruiting for Children's Support Workers on behalf of two lovely Stoke-on-Trent Children's Residential Homes to start work as soon as possible.
This Children's Support Worker role would be particularly suitable for someone studying Nursing/Psychology however we welcome any applications from strong candidates.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in a variety of settings. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to drive, and a genuine passion for helping others. Experience in childcare and familiarity with care plans will be advantageous.
Responsibilities of this Children's Support Worker role
- Provide personal care and support to individuals, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of each individual.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure the best possible care.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or condition.
- Engage clients in social activities and promote their independence through encouragement and support.
- Drive clients to appointments or community activities as required.
Requirements for this Children's Support Worker role
- Proven experience working with children or in a similar support role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of care plans and how to implement them effectively.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
